Cash Cortes Readies for November 15
Release of Debut Solo Track “Poor Man’s Gold”
In Conjunction With Feature On Luke Bryan’s Hulu Series “It’s All Country”
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Nov. 12, 2024) — Cash Cortes announces “Poor Man’s Gold” — the debut track from his forthcoming 2025 LP — will release Friday, November 15 in conjunction with a performance and interview segment on Hulu’s new show, “It’s All Country,” hosted by Luke Bryan, airing that evening.
Cortes, who is of Puerto Rican descent and splits his time between Nashville and Miami, says, “This song is autobiographical, right down to the artwork and its symbolism. I wrote it shortly after finding out I was going to be a father. I didn’t have much money and my pregnant wife and I along with my stepson were living out of a bedroom in my mother-in-law’s house. I had this fire burning inside of me that was beginning to clear a transformative path into being a father and a husband. Staring down this newly cleared pathway filled me with joy and ambition. In that transformative moment it occurred to me that no matter what, if everything I owned was taken away from me, I was still rich. Rich with love and rich with life. That’s the core of our very existence. It’s a ‘Poor Man’s Gold.’”

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (October 22, 2024) - Hit songwriter David DeVaul has extended his exclusive publishing agreement with Owens Entertainment Group (OEG). DeVaul has played an important role in the development of rising star Wyatt Flores’ career. He is a co-writer on several of Wyatt’s songs, including his latest release “Oh Susannah." In addition, David has had songs cut by SEVY!, Kaitlyn Kilian, John Hollier, Teddy Robb, Tiera Kennedy, Thompson Square, and Josh Gracin.
“The love of music and creating music is in my blood, and when I met the people at OEG and saw what they were excited about musically, it was a perfect fit for me. I’ve been writing music for 14 years, and I was never concerned with how long the process would take because I knew I would spend my whole life doing this. It will happen when the time is right,” David DeVaul explains.
“It just so happens, some people in Oklahoma took a chance on me, and we’ve accomplished so much together already. I’m so proud and honored to have 8 songs released by Wyatt Flores who is an artist I respect and enjoy listening to, even if I had never written one of those songs. I’m a fan and get to be a part of it which is amazing. OEG has three other artists I’ve been able to pour into including SEVY!, Kaitlyn Kilian, and Cash Cortes, where we get to explore music the OEG way -- with no limits. Susan (Owens) and Tyler (Woodward) are like family, and I’m so excited to continue to create with them.”
“We are thrilled to extend our publishing relationship with David DeVaul. David is a stand-out in any crowd and makes every song better,” President of OEG Music Susan Owens states. “He is a joy to work with and we are honored to continue this journey with him.”
OEG continues to foster an environment for new and established musicians and songwriters in Nashville who are pursuing their careers. Susan Owen and Tyler Woodward can be reached directly at susan@oeg-music.com and tyler@oeg-music.com.
